Use your nightscape as a wallpaper

Choose PNG for a still wallpaper, or MP4 for a video wallpaper. Lumen Streets creates files; it does not install a wallpaper app or change your system settings.

Room for icons

In Export, open Room for icons and choose an edge: left or right for desktop shortcuts, top for a phone clock, or bottom for a dock. Adjust dimming and drag the crop to keep your favourite streets in the clear. The fade covers moving lights too, and works in PNG, GIF and video. Full city switches it off. Your wallpaper app may crop the image again; check its preview.

Windows

For PNG, use Settings → Personalization → Background → Picture. Choose Fill and check the crop. Windows’ built-in background settings do not play arbitrary animated files.

For video, open a compatible app such as Lively Wallpaper or Wallpaper Engine, add/import the downloaded MP4 and apply it to your display. Set fit/crop, looping and pause-on-fullscreen options in that app. These tools are separate from Lumen Streets.

Android

Use PNG through your phone’s wallpaper picker. For video, import MP4 into a compatible live-wallpaper app; availability on the Home Screen and Lock Screen depends on your phone and app. Wallpaper Engine for Android documents its setup and import workflow. Do not assume every manufacturer’s Gallery supports the same video formats or duration.

iPhone

PNG can be used as a still wallpaper. Apple supports Live Photos for the Lock Screen, playing when you wake the phone. A downloaded MP4, WebM or GIF is not a Live Photo and cannot directly provide a continuously animated Home Screen. Live Photo conversion/packaging is not included in this release.

Duration, size and sharing

Thirty seconds is the default; choose 1/2/3/5 minutes or 15–300 custom seconds to reduce how often traffic restarts. These clips are not seamless loops. At 1440p, five minutes can be about 1 GB. The preview estimates file size; actual size varies by scene and encoder. Long/high-resolution exports require browser temporary-file storage; use a shorter 1080p clip if your browser struggles. Formats are enabled only when your browser reports encoding support.

Clean wallpaper pixels contain no branding or text by default. You can optionally add landmark names or a place title in any corner. Source credit appears beside the download and in a downloadable credits file. When sharing publicly, include the OpenStreetMap credit and license link visibly with the image/video. An on-image credit is available for standalone files; hidden metadata alone does not replace public attribution. See OSMF’s guidelines.

把夜景設為桌布

靜態桌布選 PNG，影片桌布優先選 MP4。Lumen Streets 產生檔案，不會安裝桌布 App 或更改系統設定。

• PNG：3840×2160（16:9）／3840×2400（16:10）桌面或 1080×1920 直式圖片，可先調整取景。手機螢幕比例不一定是 9:16，設定時仍需確認裁切。
• MP4（H.264）：常見影片桌布 App 的優先選項。1080p／1440p，16:10 提供 1920×1200／2560×1600；每秒 30 格、15–300 秒、無聲。
• WebM（VP9）：供支援它的桌布播放器使用，請確認目標 App 相容性。
• GIF：6 秒、720 px 的分享用短預覽，不是高畫質桌布輸出。

為圖示留白

在匯出視窗展開「為圖示留白」，選左側或右側放桌面捷徑、上方放手機時鐘，或下方留給 Dock。調整壓暗程度並拖曳構圖，讓喜歡的街道留在明亮處。柔暗過渡也涵蓋移動車燈，PNG、GIF 與影片皆可使用；選「完整夜景」即關閉。桌布 App 可能再次裁切，請以安裝時的預覽為準。

Windows

PNG 可從「設定 → 個人化 → 背景 → 圖片」設定，選擇填滿並確認取景。內建背景設定不會直接播放任意動圖。

影片需要相容的桌布 App，例如 Lively Wallpaper 或 Wallpaper Engine。在該 App 新增／匯入 MP4，套用至螢幕，再設定填滿、循環，以及全螢幕程式執行時暫停。

Android

PNG 可直接用手機桌布選擇器設定。影片需匯入支援的動態桌布 App；主畫面與鎖定畫面能否使用取決於手機及 App。可參考 Wallpaper Engine Android 說明。各品牌內建相簿支援的影片長度與格式不一致。

iPhone

PNG 可作靜態桌布。Apple 官方支援 Live Photo 鎖定畫面，在喚醒手機時播放。MP4、WebM、GIF 都不是 Live Photo，不能直接成為持續播放的主畫面桌布。本版未提供 Live Photo 轉換與封裝。

長度、大小與來源署名

預設 30 秒，可選 1／2／3／5 分鐘或自訂 15–300 秒，減少交通重新開始的頻率；並非無縫循環。1440p 的五分鐘影片可能約 1 GB；預覽會估計大小，實際大小依場景與編碼器而異。長影片與高解析度需要瀏覽器暫存檔支援，瀏覽器吃力時可改選較短的 1080p 影片；不支援的影片格式會停用並提示替代方式。

預設檔案只有街景，品牌與文字不會印進畫面；可另外勾選地標名稱或四角位置的地區標題。下載區仍顯示來源署名，另可下載說明檔。公開分享時，請在圖片或影片旁附上 OpenStreetMap 署名及授權連結；單獨分享圖片可勾選圖內來源署名。隱藏的中繼資料不能一概取代公開可見的署名。詳見 OSMF 指引。
